Getting a good caricature

  • Share clear, front-facing photos of each of you, in good light
  • Describe the outfits: lehenga colour, sherwani, safa, saree drape
  • Mention one or two details that are unmistakably you — glasses, a beard, a favourite hobby
  • Decide the mood: sweet, funny or a Bollywood-poster spoof
  • Ask for a transparent background so it sits well on the invite
  • Only use photos and likenesses you have permission for — this includes family members you add

Where caricatures work best

A caricature is perfect on a save the date, a sangeet invite or a playful main invite for friends. For elders, some families keep a more traditional main card and use the caricature version for friends and cousins. Both can live in your funvite dashboard with the same details.

Do you make caricatures?

We draw custom illustrated portraits as part of a custom invite (from ₹2,999). You can also upload a caricature you already have, or generate illustrated art in the editor.

How long does a custom caricature take?

Usually a few days, depending on the number of people and revisions.

Can the caricature move?

Templates animate the art — it slides, floats or appears with the story. Fully animated characters are possible in custom invites.

Is a caricature invitation appropriate for elders?

Many families send a traditional version to elders and a caricature version to friends. Both can carry the same details.

Can I add our family members too?

Yes, in custom invites — just make sure everyone is happy to appear.
