With funvite you can send a calm, traditional puja invitation that opens like an envelope sealed with a marigold, or a chat-style message from the family with the address pinned. It works for any puja: Lakshmi puja, a Satyanarayan katha, Vastu shanti, a navagraha puja or a shop opening. Moving into a new home? See griha pravesh invitations.
What to include on a puja invitation
- Which puja it is, and the reason if you want to share it (a new home, a new business, a family milestone).
- Date and the puja start time or muhurat — confirm it with your pandit.
- Approximate duration and when aarti and prasad will be.
- Whether a meal follows, and if it is satvik or vegetarian.
- Address with landmarks; for offices, the floor and a contact person at the gate.
- A simple note on dress if it matters — traditional wear, or covering heads in some families.
Tone and timing
Puja invitations sound best when they are simple. Start with a short invocation — “श्री गणेशाय नमः” is common in many homes — then the occasion, the time and the family’s name. Send it a week before for family and close friends, and three or four days before for an office or shop puja. A short WhatsApp reminder on the morning of the puja helps guests arrive on time.
For business pujas, mention your company or shop name, and keep a contact number on the invite for clients who may be visiting for the first time.
